Handbuilt gypsy jazz-style guitar with indigo-blue stained spruce top by Paul McEvoy Guitars.

I finished this Selmer-style archtop in an indigo-blue stain unlike anything else that's come out of my shop — an instrument that sounds traditional but looks like nothing else on the bandstand, built the way I wanted to build it.

The oval soundhole and floating trapeze bridge follow the Selmer-Maccaferri layout that's defined the gypsy jazz sound for the better part of a century — a design I return to often, adapting the finish and details while keeping the voice true to the style.
